The Prairie Creek Inn is an ideal setting to hold intimate gatherings of all kinds. Our Heartstone Room is perfect for corporate retreats, small weddings, anniversaries, business meetings, parties and a myriad of events where privacy, beautiful natural surroundings and a casually elegant ambiance are the main theme. The room can accommodate up to 24 people for a sit down dinner or up to 40 for a stand-up hors d’oeuvres and cocktail reception. We are experienced in meeting coordination and event planning and will customize each meeting or event to your exact needs.

For overnight accommodations, The Prairie Creek Inn can sleep up to eight people double occupancy and five people single occupancy. If your group is larger than this, there are a number of accommodations in Rocky Mountain House a short drive away. We’ll make sure you’re specially taken care of and have all the attention and privacy that you require for your special event.

Business Meetings

Our Heartstone Room offers a professional, success-oriented meeting venue in a relaxed, undisturbed county atmosphere. It’s the perfect place for your team to focus on creativity, inspiration and success away from the day to day distractions of the office. Our easily accessible and centralized location is especially appealing to businesses in Red Deer, Rocky Mountain House or throughout the region for small to mid-sized management retreats, strategic planning sessions, training programs or business receptions.

We have all the amenities you need: high speed internet, flip charts, projector, TV, VCR, DVD and stereo. Cozy chairs beside the fireplace provide an excellent breakout discussion area or, on warmer days, you can relax on the huge outdoor deck and enjoy the fresh country air. Or better yet, take your break around the campfire beside the energy flowing Prairie Creek. Work doesn’t get much better than that!

Weddings

What can be more romantic than getting married in the country among towering trees and the vibrant energy of Prairie Creek in the background? Whether it's a cozy winter celebration inside the Heartstone Room or a summer reception on the grounds, let us help you plan an intimate casually elegant wedding that will delight you and your guests.

Celebrate in style in our beautifully appointed Heartstone Room with a field stone fireplace, and convenient food & bar service areas. The room can accommodate up to 24 guests for a sit down meal or up to 40 for a stand up reception. In the summer, you can open the garden doors and dance under the stars on our large outdoor deck while listening to Prairie Creek rushing nearby. Heaven!

You can also have an outdoor wedding at one of the beautiful spots of our grounds. Depending on the size of the event, this may require setting up a tent and other equipment in case of inclement weather but it's all doable at The Prairie Creek Inn. The maximum capacity for an outdoor wedding is 75 people.
